  Hallo zusammen
Posted by: Enya2 - 25.03.2026, 02:05 PM - Forum: Club house - Replies (1)

Hallo Pit,

Nice picturesque drawing of our Wauquiez PS at the north eastern cape of Sardinia!

This summer we are planning a trip from northern Sardinia/Italy to the outer eastern post of Greece, right opposite of Bodrum/Turkey.
The trip will be ~1000 sm and I will sail with my son.

For the trip there are many preparations necessary, we have to tag-off a long list.

Fair Winds,
-Pit

This is a big one (40 Mb), the SAILTEC catalog is packed with great equipment.
Some as Lewmar port lights, winches, Max Prop or Navtec is already installed in your Wauquiez PS.

Try downloading here:

NAVTEC makes the hydraulic vang and backstay tensioner.
This is great equipment, but The spare part prices are kind of salty:

Instructions - Assembly of the Max Prop can be tricky.

Hint: Don't forget to greace your Max Prop.
This is the necessary adapter to connect the grease gun:

With Sailtec, you also get your anodes and Max Prop spares.

  DAEWOO mini washing machine
Posted by: admin - 07.05.2025, 01:57 PM - Forum: Downloads - No Replies

Just ordered, payed and delivered.

But the washing machine has not been installed yet and need to be transported to the boat in the 1st place.

However, let‘s share technical details of this supportive laundry helper.

© and ® Philipp from SY Carpe Diem, where I copied their installation design.

Important technical details:

o  3KG wasching capacity
o  700 rpm
o  292mm deep (to fit in the aft cabinet next to the shower)
o  220V
o  1500 Watts max.

You can feed the machine directly with warm water from the boiler.
That would reduce energy consumption. However, I don‘t know the impact on cleansing results.

  New member PS43
Posted by: angeladissegna - 28.04.2025, 10:28 PM - Forum: Club house - Replies (1)

Hello! My name is Angela, currently in Mexico refitting a PS43 to explore the Pacific from next year!  My dad and I have been upgrading most of the systems, and the next big project will be to replace the original rigging. It has been a lot of work, but very rewarding to learn and see the progress. Is there anyone here with another PS43? mine is year 2000.

Kind regards to all,
Angela

  AIS coverage
Posted by: Pit - 27.03.2025, 08:19 PM - Forum: Technical - No Replies

Finally I installed my AIS Receiver and was very pleased with the coverage on 156MHz:

.png   AIS _coverage.png (Size: 1,74 MB / Downloads: 7)

But that was not real. - Normally you receive AIS objects in the range of 10~20 miles. Maybe sometimes a big freight liner or passenger ship 30 miles away.

That day VHF conditions were extraordinary and I could 'see' ships in Sicily and up to Genova.
