Quick comment after two summers on board of a genuine teak: The fake teak is significantly 'hotter' compared to a genuine teak. I did a refit from genuine to 'fake' teak on my previous boat, thus I can compare both by experience.
Maybe OK in the northern Adriatic, but I stood on deck of a fake teak in Greece and my feet were really burning in my shoes.
